Template:Taxobox/showtaxon is a subtemplate of Template:Taxobox. It is used by Template:Taxobox/taxonomy (via a function in Module:Autotaxobox) to show one taxon in an automatic taxobox.
It should not be used directly in a page; it is only for use by Template:Taxobox/taxonomy.
It uses {{Anglicise rank}} to convert the rank given in a taxonomy template (which will be latinized where appropriate) into the displayed English form.
